I am a 27-year-old chemical lab technician based in Northwest Georgia. I graduated from New College of Florida in 2020 with a B.A. in Classics and History. I spent one year at Florida State University pursuing an M.A. in Ancient Greek before taking a hiatus from academia, then earned a graduate certificate in Ecological Restoration from the University of Florida in 2024. Though I work as a scientist now, I still use much of my free time to continue translating and researching topics in Classics for the joy of it.
My research interests include monsters, ghosts, horror, the body, spectacle, festival culture, and the intersection of these elements, particularly in the Homeric epics and 5th century Athenian drama. I also dedicated much of my undergraduate research to exploring these topics in 19th/early-20th century America, a project which I plan to someday continue.
I am currently working on a translation of the Homeric Hymns and an interlinear translation of Sophocles’ Ajax for intermediate Greek readers.
